I have a yod in my natal chart.  At least, it is identified as such by Solar Fire Gold software.

Trouble is the yod has an orb of 22 degrees and I wondered if this was tight enough.  Venus is at the apex with Saturn and Uranus at the corners.

Is this a true yod?  Astrologers seem to differ a great deal about yods.

I guess I equate yod influence with Tower influence in a way.

What do you folk think?

I prefer rather tight orbs - so to me, that big of an orb dilutes any power that your Yod may have.  Just my opinion but that is my thought.

Thanks for the reply.  I've often wondered how important the orbs were and have had different views.

Yod science seems to be inexact but I guess most astrology is to some extent.

When I've checked the possible impacts of the yod, they resonate with my experiences  so I wondered.

It is not the most important thing in the chart, however!

I agree with Theresa about the tightness of the orb. I typically keep the orb for the quincunxes under 2 degrees. Sextiles, get a little more leeway, but I tend to keep it between 4 and 6 degrees.

I'd be interested to see what orb others would consider a yod to have.
