Jelly and Tarotlady, The Mantegna Tarots are in. They are the new Lo Scarabeo decks. I spoke with the distributor and told him I was expecting the Piatnik decks. He told me that somehow Piatnik has claim to the original Mantegna Tarot? ? and that Lo Scarabeo cut a deal that allows Piatnik to distribute this deck as well. All in all they are still a beautiful representation of this historic deck. If you would be so kind as to either PM me with addresses or drop me an email at antonkolduny@att.net I will get them in the post this week. For some reason I though Tarot Lady had an addy on her homepage but it seems you don't.

IMHO, TacoTiki, you were correct to eject the bearer of abysmally bad energy! Cards are cards. We all have our favorites and our preferences, but in the end they are simply a tool. They do not change the energy of the individual handling them, and their energy is not altered by that party, either. If it were so, how could you be expected to sell this deck after it had been in HER possession? She would have rendered the deck damaged goods! There is such a thing as being TOO nice. Under the circumstances, she fell victim to my beloved GIGO principle-garbage in, garbage out. I believe you did the right thing.

Natalia threw her out. I was trying to deal with her. I suspect natalia was right.

Anton just got back from the Post....Decks are in the mail. He was dissappointed with them, but I like them. Atanassov did a nice job with these, a very cool subtle silver foil floral design in the background with the original Mantegna images in the forefront.

I don't mind an LS. The Piatnik would've been fantastic, but I'd have been so careful of it...LS is made to put some wear on, and I'm going to have to practice this deck. > Sooooo...it all works out. Thanks!

My mentor always tells me that, if you keep asking the same questions and keep getting the same results and cards over and over again. It's best to leave the cards, stop for a while and get hold of yourself. Be patient of what life has to offer, things will soon bound to happen anyway.

Awhile back, we sold a woman a "Steele Wizard Tarot". She had come and browsed through the Tarot Decks. A New order had com e in and it was half unpacked and she spotted the Steele Wizard Tarot and said she wanted it. Anton explained to her that we had not opened a display deck yet and offered to open one for her to examine. She said no, that she had heard wonderful things about this deck and that she would take it. Off she went.
She came back this week all upset claiming that we sold her a deck under false pretences. She had a book written by someone that described the Tarot as a deck with 22 Major and 56 Minor Arcana cards. The Steele Wizard has additional cards Pamela Steele added 4 new Court Cards called Maidens that she places between the Page and the Knight and 5 additional Major arcana cards numbered 23 through 27. We offered to refund her her money. We also pointed out that if you remove the extra cards you do indeed have a traditional Tarot Deck. She claimed removing the cards would disrupt the decks energy and would be disrespectful to the decks creator. We again offered to refund her her money.
She then went on to make the demand that not only should we refund her money but that we should give her free of charge a "real Tarot Deck" since we had committed "fraud" in selling the last deck representing it to be an authentic Tarot Deck. I suppose you can imagine with my sunshining personality where all of this was going quickly?
Anton shoooed me away and offered the lady her money back and one of the demo decks. She demanded a new one because the demo deck would obviously be "so cluttered with the energies of those who have handled them". I decided then and there to exert some energy of my own and threw the woman out with her Steele Wizard Tarot and instructions to never come back.
In some ways I can see her point. What I can't see is why she felt we were obligated to shell out to her a new deck as a punitive measure for our "Fraud"? So was I right to throw her out when every attempt to appease her was rejected by her?
Absolutely. As a real estate broker, we get these types occasionally. It is not enough for them to win--someone else must also lose. From what I read above, I don't see her point at all. If there were any misrepresentations, it would be on the part of wherever she had heard great things about the deck. Don't negotiate with terrorists. The Universe intended for her to have that deck. I woulda made her keep it. The deck was not defective and actually, she got extra cards for free.
