Taurus Rising!

Okay, this area is getting too quiet!  (And basically, this area is to get to know each other outside of our astrology/Tarot/mystical interests:)

So, I decided to start another topic... Movies!

What are your favorite movies?  Or favorite kind of movies?
I like really colorful movies, I guess Tim Burton movies best describe it.  Big Fish is one of my favorites.  I'm really looking forward to seeing his version of Alice in Wonderland.

I'm a big Back to the Future fan!

I love action-packed movies.  Quentin Tarantino is another one of my favorite directors.  I love Kill Bill, Reservoir Dogs, and Pulp Fiction.

I'm also a sap.  I love pretty much any Drew Barrymore movie.  Tongue

Okay, enough about me... what about you?

My favorite movie of all time is "Happiness".

I like any movies directed by Darren Aronofsky or Todd Solondz. They are my fave directors.

I also like old classics like "Planet of the Apes" (I have a Dr. Zaius doll!) and "The Good The Bad and The Ugly".

But my fave thing to watch are really super depressing documentaries.

It's weird, rosegardenfae - I consider myself a very happy go lucky person but the only movies I really love are the darkest ones I can find.  Must be that Scorp moon.  LOL  I blame it on everything!

I love movies! I just love the whole idea of movies! I don't know that there's a particular genre I find more interesting than another, or any one actor or director I'd say is better than them all. There are movies I regret wasting money and time on, but life's like that. If you enjoy a risk now and then, you're bound to lose a few pennies once in a while.

But sure, I'll bite. I haven't seen a movie in a theatre in quite some time. I enjoy pay-per-view and IFC and FMC movies. I rent collections and have "themed parties" based on them. Like my last one, two weeks ago, we did the Mad Max series (Mad Max, Road Warrior, Beyond Thunderdome) while playing Car Wars (tm) for hours. Yeah, those were some good movies. Then I sat down last weekend (a few days ago) and watched them all by myself and actually paid attention this time. Smiley

The Wall, Spike Lee, Beatles movies, Vincent Price...Hey TW, that sounds fun. Any plans for Rocky Horror? We'll dress up and bring toilet paper, lol. Seriously, this is a great thread, it could turn into a monster as more things come to mind...
